Lucy Crompton Lucy is currently Head of Administration for the Institute of Population Health, Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences at the University of Manchester. She previously worked for the District Audit Service of the Audit Commission. Lucy completed professional accountancy exams (ACCA) shortly after joining the University of Manchester in 1994, and has worked as a management accountant as well as gaining general management experience across a number of university departments. The University of Manchester has identified social responsibility as a core strategic goal. It encourages its staff, students and alumni to ‘make a difference’ to the social, economic, cultural and environmental well -being of our communities. The basic principle of the Tutor Trust is simple and compelling: pupils can clearly benefit from receiving additional support and tutors can gain so much in terms of their own career experience, but also from a direct wider community engagement. Lucy hopes that the skills and experience she has gained can contribute to the Trust’s ongoing success.
