Rameesah Ahmed (She/Her) Rameesah joined The Tutor Trust part-time during the summer of 2021. Prior to this she studied Adult Nursing at Leeds Beckett University (LBU) where she was awarded the Bright Futures Scholarship and worked as a Pharmacy Assistant. Upon graduation, Rameesah successfully completed a leadership programme with Common Purpose: Leeds legacy and sought a career change, she worked as a Librarian Assistant at LBU before joining us as a full-time tutor in January 2022. Aside from the above experiences, Rameesah is an avid fundraiser/volunteer for causes that help make a difference. She has volunteered for many charities over the past decade including those focused on; bettering and representing the voice of the public in health and social care, providing shelter and aid to those in third world countries as well as building a playground and delivering creative play sessions to school children in Uganda. During her time there, she felt inspired in creating a trailblazing legacy of change through the power of education. Her charitable work and documented YouTube videos have been recognised by the Leeds Golden Award (runner up for the Young Filmmakers award in 2018). In August 2022, Rameesah moved to the new role of Leeds-Bradford Schools Coordinator. Rameesah is ecstatic to be part of a team that recognises diversity within education and is excited to help nurture the minds of our future generations!
