Post Title: Recruitment & Impact Coordinator

Responsible to:  Chief Operating Officer

Job Purpose:

The role of Recruitment & Impact Coordinator will be to ensure that the tutor recruitment process is effective and runs smoothly in both our Manchester and Leeds offices.  You will also assist the Quality Manager in the gathering of impact data from tutors and schools.  The person will aim to maintain and improve on current systems for the benefit of both The Tutor Trust and our tutors.

Main Functions

  • Will lead with the recruitment process for new tutors, including short listing and interviewing, in partnership with Directors and the Chief Operating Officer
  • Facilitate all tutor interviews, training and CPD events. This will involve room bookings, ensuring refreshments are in place, liaising with the relevant University contacts and providing support to the Quality Manger and Tutor Trust Trainers 
  • Assist with general office functions and provide support to the Chief Operating Officer
  • The role will cover tutor recruitment across all Tutor Trust locations
  • The Recruitment & Impact Coordinator will work with the Quality Manager to facilitate the gathering of impact data
  • Responsibility for the Dropbox on the website, including news and information updates
  • Manage and maintain the social media output for The Tutor Trust, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner Universities, including but not exclusively University of Manchester, University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University, MMU, Salford University and RNCM.  You will also be required to engage with student bodies and societies, to aid in the recruitment of tutors
  • Will be involved in the development and delivery of training events for tutors in Manchester and Leeds
  • Take part in general induction presentations and other events to promote the Tutor Trust both internally and externally
  • Help with preparation for Tutor Trust events aimed at a range of stakeholders
  • Participate with project work
  • Assist other staff to complete a variety of administration tasks that enable the Trust to operate effectively and efficiently
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of the post

Person Specification

Good candidates for this role will be high achievers, with excellent IT and English skills, have diplomatic and inter-personal skills and plenty of initiative.

Skills

  • Educated to degree level
  • To be fully IT literate, particularly to be competent with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to establish a rapport and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and from all sectors
  • The ability to work under pressure to cope with multiple demands and deadlines, to work fast and to a consistently high standard
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to manage office systems and contact databases and to use them effectively
  • Be able to write fluently, to think clearly and to grasp new concepts quickly

General

The job is a Permanent full-time position (subject to a successful probation period) and will be based in both the Manchester office near the Northern Quarter and the Leeds office, which is situated within the University of Leeds Careers Centre (travel expenses will be covered for trips to Leeds if you are Manchester based and vice versa if based in Leeds).

The hours of work are 40 hrs a week.

This will also involve working occasional unsocial hours on evenings and at weekends.
