We’re a proudly northern charity whose mission is to transform lives through tutoring. We believe in equity in education, regardless of postcode or background, so every young person can reach their potential.  

Our tutors deliver tutoring in English, Maths and Science to children and young people in primary and secondary schools, and in colleges, to students resitting GCSEs. We work across Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Merseyside.

Training to become a tutor with us is really rewarding and we support your professional development along the way and pay you generously for your hard work.

About the role

You'll empower young people to reach their potential in Maths, English or Science at primary and secondary level. Using our small-group model, you'll tutor no more than three pupils and therefore be able to focus on individualised learning needs.

Most of our tuition assignments last 15 school weeks, meaning you'll be able to make a noticeable impact over time with your students.

And just so you know, to tutor with us, you must be able to register as self-employed and be willing to undergo enhanced DBS and reference checks.

Joining us

Interested in tutoring? Here are the steps to becoming a tutor with us:

Complete an online application form where you'll list personal details, relevant experience, and add a short personal statement. The application form should take 20-30 minutes to complete.

If your application is successful, you'll attend a 20-minute virtual interview where you'll meet some of the team, tell us why you want to become a tutor and present two interview tasks sent to you in advance.

If you pass your interview, you'll join our tutor training programme, curated by our in-house team of qualified teachers. They will train you on how to plan and deliver impactful tuition. The content consists of 10-15 hours of online content spread over three-to-four weeks.

We'll process your DBS and reference checks in the background to enable you to go out into the classroom as soon as possible after training.
