Tutor News October 2023

We've had a great start to the new academic year - thanks to you! Since the beginning of September, our amazing tutor team has been out and about across Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, and Merseyside, supporting and encouraging more than 1,000 young people in 50-plus schools! 

We are thrilled to have you on board, with your commitment to delivering exceptional tuition and making a positive impact on the lives of your tutees.

In this edition, we share valuable insights, tips, and resources that will help enhance your tutoring skills and create an engaging learning environment.

In brief (and please feel free to share on your socials):

• We've launched our new fully-resourced KS4 Maths Scheme of Work with school partners and it's proving popular. There's a 60-second explainer video too.
• Our CEO Ed Marsh was at the recent party political conferences.  Read his reflections on his LinkedIn blog (it's positive news for tutoring) and please like and share.
• So far this year (and we're only in month two!), an impressive 37 tutors have earned the £20 first session bonus and three have already earned the £100 30-hour bonus! Congratulations and thank you for all you're doing to transform lives through tutoring! 
• Big thanks to tutors Tom, Theo, and Rounak who are the stars of our #WhyILoveTutoring campaign over on Insta (please give their fab reels a like and a share)! 
• If you know someone who is looking for work and would make a great tutor, please encourage them to apply to work for us and you could win a £25 e-voucher! Please note that the deadline for new tutor applications is Friday 17th November. (Full Ts and Cs: Tutor Referral Scheme T&Cs).
• And, when you are out and about, if you happen to be on any of our local campuses over the next few weeks, watch out for our Recruitment Team! If you have a mo, please go and say hello and cheer them on! Find out where they are on our Insta. 

And (as a sneak peak) we have a fantastic new event in January! We'll be launching a competition for our tutees and we'll need your help to get it off the ground. Watch out for full details in next month's Tutor News. All I can tell you now is, we're very excited!
