Jenny Muter (She/Her) Director of Impact Expand Jenny joined Tutor Trust in September 2017. Her background is in secondary teaching: after graduating from the University of Oxford, Jenny went into teaching through the TeachFirst programme, which fit with her commitment to improving educational opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. She stayed in her initial placement school for five years, and undertook a variety of leadership roles, including Assistant Head of English and Head of Humanities. Since joining Tutor Trust, Jenny has served in a variety of roles, including Quality Manager, Director of Tutor Recruitment and Impact, and now Director of Impact. She has led on the development of our Impact Strategy and Salesforce CRM and loves all things data and digital! She is currently Vice Chair of governors at Manchester Communication Academy and volunteers for Manchester Cares, a charity connecting younger and older neighbours. A keen traveller, she has taught in China, and volunteered on educational projects in Belize, Kenya, and Sri Lanka.
Laura Sullivan External Communications and Marketing Manager Expand Laura joined Tutor Trust in July 2023, having previously worked in senior marketing roles at Transport for Greater Manchester, British Red Cross and the BBC. As External Communications and Marketing Manager, Laura’s focus is on building awareness, across a range of channels, of Tutor Trust's transformational work. Laura is passionate about improving opportunities for young people and has previously volunteered with Girls Out Loud, a social enterprise aimed at empowering teenage girls in the North West. Robbie Maverick (He/Him) Digital Product Manager Expand Robbie is a comprehensive project manager who has worked across a number of diverse projects and disciplines in his extensive 25-year career, including fundraising and marketing as well as more recently around digital and technology. In his time, amongst other things, he has delivered an innovative gaming website for Marie Curie, and worked in partnership with the NHS and their unique data challenges – not once but twice! He has also built websites for clients such as YoungMinds and Girlguiding. His work has spanned not-for-profit and commercial organisations in a unique way and he is used to traversing the different challenges that each sector brings. Thanks to a grounding in marketing, he is a passionate advocate of data-driven approaches and has facilitated persona workshops and data deep dives with satisfying outcomes. When he is not puzzling over digital problems, he lives in Bristol with his 10-year-old son – ‘The Boys’; loves photography, keeping fit, the outdoors, and Asian food and will take anything electrical apart to try and fix it. He is a keen advocate for neurodiversity and the environment and is a Trustee for the Fair Credit Charity
Jude King (She/Her) Internal Communications Manager Expand Jude started her career as a journalist, before moving into Internal Communications. She worked across a range of sectors including housing, health, insurance and local government. Jude joined Tutor Trust as Communications Manager, and, as the staff team has expanded has focused on developing internal communications within the charity, supporting colleagues to ensure tuition has the greatest impact. James Brewer (He/Him) Social Media & Brand Manager Expand James joined the Tutor Trust staff team in January 2022, after having tutored part-time since 2016, whilst studying BA French & Spanish and MA Film Studies at The University of Manchester. In his current role, James oversees social media strategy, content marketing, and brand to support the wider charity's activities. James also supports the digital transformation of the charity.
