Sharon Sadler Leeds-Bradford Schools Partnership Manager Expand Sharon joined The Tutor Trust in July 2020 with over 20 years of experience in primary education. After graduating from the Institute of Education, University of London, Sharon began her teaching career in a multi-lingual primary school in Tottenham, North London. Gaining Advanced Skills Teacher status whilst teaching in Bradford enabled Sharon to support and develop the teaching of literacy within a range of schools faced with their own unique challenges such as, high percentages of EAL, SEND learners and disadvantaged families. Following the successful completion of a SpLD Post Graduate Certificate and Diploma in Dyslexia and working as an ITT Link Tutor at Bradford College Sharon is now a teaching and learning consultant, coach and mentor. She develops bespoke training and development packages for schools, in order to transform practice, impact on pupil progress, strengthen the quality and effectiveness of senior management teams and facilitate teacher career progression. Sharon is passionate about making a difference to the educational experiences that learners from disadvantaged backgrounds receive, so is thrilled to be a member of the Tutor Trust team. She is keen to nurture and develop inspiring school partnerships aimed at reducing the attainment gap for the young people of the future.
Kerry McCormack Leeds-Bradford Schools Manager Expand Kerry became a Primary tutor in January 2017 while studying Advanced Psychology at the University of Leeds. She has worked with multiple schools, and took part in our pilot of online tuition over the summer in 2020. Outside of her tutoring work, she has worked as a Pastoral Care Lead, and has helped run a university creative magazine which put on open-mic nights. She is passionate about everyone receiving equal opportunities and is excited to now be working as part of the Leeds team full time.
Sara Whittaker Leeds-Bradford Schools Coordinator Expand During the completion of her undergraduate Philosophy degree, Sara tutored for us part-time in different schools across Leeds. After graduating, she tutored full-time in a primary school in Bradford with Tutor Trust. In early 2022 she joined the Leeds-Bradford team as a Schools Coordinator. She’s really excited to continue to work closely with schools and tutors, and to keep supporting disadvantaged students.
Rosie Stockill Leeds-Bradford Schools Coordinator Expand Rosie joined the Tutor Trust as a Schools Coordinator in August 2021 after spending four years working in local government in Edinburgh. She graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2016 with BA (Hons) in French and History.She previously worked as a Teaching Assistant for visually impaired students in Lyon, France.
Gabriella Race Leeds-Bradford Full-time Tutor Expand Gabriella joined the Tutor Trust part-time, as a Primary tutor, in December 2017. She has enjoyed conducting tuition in numerous schools across Leeds. While conducting tuition, Gabriella studied at the University of Leeds for a BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies. Then moved onto an MSc in Psychology in Education at the University of York. Gabriella is passionate about making a difference to children's educational experiences and is thrilled to join the team full-time as Leeds School Tutor.
Rameesah Ahmed Leeds Bradford Full time Tutor Expand Rameesah joined The Tutor Trust part-time during the summer of 2021. Prior to this she studied Adult Nursing in Leeds Beckett University (LBU) where she was awarded the Bright Futures Scholarship and worked as a Pharmacy Assistant. Upon graduation, Rameesah successfully completed a leadership programme with Common Purpose: Leeds legacy and sought a career change, she worked as a Librarian Assistant at LBU before joining us as a full-time tutor in January 2022. Aside from the above experiences, Rameesah is an avid fundraiser/volunteer for causes that help make a difference. She has volunteered for many charities over the past decade including those focused on; bettering and representing the voice of the public in health and social care, providing shelter and aid to those in third world countries as well as building a playground and delivering creative play sessions to school children in Uganda. During her time there, she felt inspired in creating a trailblazing legacy of change through the power of education. Her charitable work and documented YouTube videos have been recognised by the Leeds Golden Award (runner up for the Young Filmmakers award in 2018). Rameesah is ecstatic to be part of a team that recognises diversity within education and is excited to help nurture the minds of our future generations!
