Transfer training Transfer training allows our tutors to tutor in additional subjects and take on more work. To be eligible for Primary or Alternative Provision/Looked After Children (AP/LAC) training, we require at least GCSE Grade B or 6 (or equivalent) in both GCSE Maths and GCSE English. For our Secondary training, we require at least GCSE Grade A or 7 (or equivalent) in the relevant subject. Transfer training starts with an online module and lesson planning task on Thinqi. Tutors need to complete the module by 5pm the day before the live session and bring theirdraft lesson plan to the live session. The live training session takes place online and is two hours long, and tutors then submit the final version of their lesson plan after the live session. Dates for the next training sessions are: Primary: Wednesday 5th January, 10am – 12pm Secondary English: Wednesday 5th January, 1pm – 3pm Alternative Provision/Looked After Children: Thursday 6th January, 10am – 12pm Secondary Science: Thursday 6th January, 2pm – 4pm Secondary Maths: Friday 7th January, 1pm – 3pm If you would like to register for transfer training, please email [email protected] by 9am on Tuesday 21st December.
