Our latest Impact Report celebrates our 10th anniversary – 25 November 2021 Today we’re delighted to share with you our 10th anniversary Impact Report, and a brief video showing the highlights. From the spark of an idea in 2010 to an organisation that, in the last academic year alone, has transformed the lives of more than 6,300 young people, we have written a story of success and achievement. When we set up Tutor Trust in 2011, we knew there were many young people that were being left behind academically and needed some additional support. We did not know just how much we would grow and the impact we would have across the North of England. In the 10 years since we were founded, we have: Gone on to tutor more than 20,000 pupils, Trained more than 3,000 students, graduates, teachers and other professionals as Tutor Trust tutors, Delivered more than 120,000 hours of tutoring, and, Partnered with more than 500 schools. In the academic year 2020/2021, we have: Worked with 6,306 children and young people. Of those, we have tutored 2,708 in Maths, 2,385 in English and 392 in Science. We’ve tutored 692 pupils in more than one subject. And, aligned with our mission, almost two-thirds (61%) of the pupils we tutored were from disadvantaged backgrounds. 18% of young people we tutored had special needs. On average, participating pupils attended 73% of their scheduled tutoring sessions. 251 pupils were Looked After Children. 81 young people we tutored were in Alternative Provision settings. 1,926 pupils received some or all of their tutoring online. We are really amazed by what we have achieved. In our report we share: How our values steer our work, Case studies, Our ambitions and future projects. Even as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are focusing on the future. We want the current academic year to be our most successful yet, and we have already begun tutoring over 2,000 pupils; a new record for late November. Both the National Tutoring Programme and the School-Led Tutoring Grant have fuelled demand for our work, and we will also be launching our Year 6/7 Transition Project and starting a new pilot with The Prince's Trust to give more holistic support to vulnerable learners. In addition, with our strategic partner Impetus, early in 2022 we will start an intensive piece of strategic planning for our next Three-Year Plan. We remain highly ambitious about fulfilling our mission of 'transforming lives through tutoring' and we want to expand our reach across – and possibly beyond – the North of England from 2022/23 through to 2024/25. 10th anniversary Impact Report Our Impact Report video Read about our Mission, Vision and Values.
