As well as high-quality, hands-on experience working with disadvantaged young people in schools, our tutors develop a range of skills useful for any future career.

Whether our tutors want to work in education, pursue a career in a different field, or don’t know what they’d like to go into yet – they find that tutoring with us is the perfect place to get invaluable work experience as a student, whilst also giving back to their local community.

As part of our ongoing support for our tutors, on Thursday 18 November we’re hosting an online Careers Seminar with some of our notable alumni tutors. This is a great chance for current and prospective tutors to come and network with our alumni, get great CV writing advice, and ask any burning questions about landing their dream role.  Tutors can book their place here.

And, because our tutors appreciate the value of our high-quality training, the skills they develop when tutoring, the support they receive and all the other rewards the role brings we always encourage them to tell their friends about their tutoring work.  And, as a special festive extra, we’re bumping up our Refer-a-Friend monthly draw in time for Christmas! Every month, we take the names of all our tutors who have referred their friends to apply to work with us and enter them into a prize draw.

This month, to show how much we appreciate our tutors spreading the word about working with us, two people will have the chance to win a £50 voucher. All theyhave to do to enter is recommend Tutor Trust to someone they know – and make sure they put their tutor friend's name down in the 'Where did you hear about us?' section of the application form.

On 17 December, we’ll take the names from our applications, enter them into our spin the wheel and then announce the two lucky winners on our Instagram account.

As always, we are recruiting highly-motivated individuals to join us in improving the educational outcomes of young people. Apply here to give yourself some invaluable hands-on experience in the classroom, and help us serve our local communities.
