Stage 1 - Online application form The application form begins by asking for personal details, qualifications and experience. Please note, you need to be eligible to register as self-employed in the UK in order to be able to apply to tutor with us. Therefore, if you are on a Tier 4 student visa, you will not be able to tutor with us as you cannot register as self-employed. We look for specific competencies throughout our application process, which we ask you to demonstrate in the form. We also ask you to provide a short personal statement and two referees (one academic and one personal). We would like you to tell us about your experiences such as paid work, extracurricular activities and/or volunteering. No previous tutoring/ teaching experience is required. However, if you do have experience with children or young people, please ensure you highlight this on your application form. Double-check your contact details and spelling throughout. Additionally, we would always advise you to save your application regularly to prevent you from losing your work. You can watch videos from two new tutors, Matt and Madeehah, who have been interviewed about their application process here and here.
