Find out more about how to ace your interview and impress your interviewers in our Steps to Success blogs!

The application form begins by asking for personal details, qualifications and experience (read more about how to ace it in our Steps to Success blog). Please note, you need to be eligible to register as self-employed in the UK in order to be able to apply to tutor with us.  Therefore, if you are on a Tier 4 student visa, you will not be able to tutor with us as you cannot register as self-employed.

We look for specific competencies throughout our application process, which we ask you to demonstrate in the form. We also ask you to provide a short personal statement and two referees (one academic and one personal). We would like you to tell us about your experiences such as paid work, extracurricular activities and/or volunteering. No previous tutoring/ teaching experience is required. However, if you do have experience with children or young people, please ensure you highlight this on your application form.

Double-check your contact details and spelling throughout. Additionally, we would always advise you to save your application regularly to prevent you from losing your work.

You can watch videos from two tutors, Matt and Madeehah, who were interviewed in December 2020 and early 2021 about the application and training processes.
