Find out more about how to ace your interview and impress your interviewers in our Steps to Success blogs!

If your application form is successful, we will send you an email invitation to interview. We interview for new tutors roughly once a month. The interview will last no longer than 20 minutes, will be conducted by two members of the Tutor Trust staff, and will take place online so make sure you have access to a device with a camera and microphone. The interview consists of three formal questions and then you will be expected to deliver a pre-prepared five-minute lesson. The five-minute lesson will be planned around a question that we will send you a few days before your interview (read more about the role-play task in our Steps to Success blog).

You will also need to provide two forms of identification (e.g. passport and driver's licence), as well as a proof of address (e.g. bank statement) issued in the last three months. This is important documentation that we need to see before we apply for your DBS check. We will also ask you to send images of your GCSE (or equivalent) certificates to us via email.
