Boost GCSE students’ learning ahead of exams

With the all-important GCSE exams on the horizon, we’re offering intensive tuition programmes for Year 11 pupils during the spring break.

The flexible in-school GCSE Intensive Easter Clubs offer bespoke, individualised support for pupils in Maths, English, or Science, or any combination of the three.

Our highly trained tutors will focus on consolidating learning and giving pupils the skills to answer GCSE-style questions, and exam techniques to boost pupil confidence.  Tutors will use resources developed by our qualified teachers, which incorporate the learning from the 2021/22 GCSE exam results.

Last year our disadvantaged Year 11 pupils performed significantly better than disadvantaged pupils both regionally and nationally.

  • 60% of our disadvantaged tutees achieved a Grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths, compared with 53% of disadvantaged pupils in England,
  • In English, the figures were 66% and 62% respectively, and,
  • In Science, a huge 81% of disadvantaged tutees achieved the benchmark, compared with 51% of disadvantaged pupils in England[1].

We run all aspects of the tuition programme and will work with you to understand your pupils' needs and target any areas of challenge in preparation for exams. And our 1:1 and small group tuition means tutors are able to tailor each session to the individual pupil's needs.

Most of the costs are met by NTP funding – meaning they can be as low as £7.20 per pupil per hour’s tutoring.

Our tuition works, and we are the only tutoring organisation to have positive results from two Randomised Control Trials, both commissioned by the Education Endowment Foundation. Our gold-standard evidence of impact was referenced in Ofsted’s recent review of tutoring in schools.

The Tutors delivered high-quality sessions, worked well with and developed good relationships with our students. The communication was always really good, and they were reliable.”
