Tutor Trust Launches in Liverpool - 30th November 2017 The Tutor Trust is delighted to announce that we are now expanding into Liverpool, starting in the new year. This exciting partnership is part of Liverpool Promise, an initiative from Mayor Joe Anderson that is working towards ensuring that children and young people achieve their full potential. They work towards this by bringing together school staff, companies, and cultural organisations which work towards making a positive difference to the lives of young people in the city. Tutor Trust would like to thank our new partners at Liverpool City Council, the Mayor’s Office, and the University of Liverpool. We will recruit and train approximately 50 new tutors in Liverpool by the end of January 2018, and are hoping that many of these tutors will be students from the university. We are looking forward to our new partnership with them growing in years to come. This expansion into Liverpool marks the third city that Tutor Trust will be working in, alongside Leeds and Greater Manchester. Since we were first set up as a registered charity in Manchester in September 2011, Tutor Trust has grown exponentially, expanding to deliver tuition in Leeds in 2015. We now have an office team based in Leeds in addition to our Head Office in Manchester city centre, and hope to see the same success in Liverpool. In the six years since Tutor Trust has been running, we have provided academic support to over 10,000 pupils. We at The Tutor Trust are extremely excited to extend the valuable work we do into another city, and to provide excellent tutors from another fantastic university to even more children in the North West. Co-Founders Nick Bent and Abigail commented: “We are delighted to be launching Tutor Trust in Liverpool. During our first year in Liverpool, we will be tutoring Maths and Science in half a dozen secondary schools. Starting in autumn 2018, we will also offer English tuition in secondary schools and both Maths and English tuition in primary schools.” “Longer-term, our aim is to become a permanent presence in Liverpool and a valuable partner to school leaders, teachers, pupils, parents, carers and all those committed to helping every child achieve their potential. And of course, we also hope to serve neighbouring communities in the Merseyside Metro area.” “Everything we do at Tutor Trust is based on strong partnerships and we are always looking for new ways to collaborate with others.” Applications are now open for Secondary Maths and Science tutors to work in schools in Liverpool, and will close on 15th January 2018.
