The news of another national lockdown was a challenge for all of us in Education, and last week was a tough one.  This week, many of our partner schools are switching their tutoring assignments online – for Years 5 to 11 – and we are pleased to be part of the solution to ‘remote learning’.

We are doing everything we can to ensure pupils carry on getting the support they need.  Our experienced staff team in each city make it easy for busy teachers to set up online tutoring assignments.  We take care of the liaison between tutors, parents/carers and pupils, and our online platform is easy to use.  We might also be able to provide free laptops for pupils who need them.

As a proven provider of safe and successful online tutoring while pupils are at home, we can offer this service under the National Tutoring Programme.  This means pupils can access high-quality support in English, Maths and Science at very low cost to the school, whether they are still in school or at home.

We encourage all our partner schools to talk to their regular contact at Tutor Trust about online tutoring, or about postponing assignments until after lockdown.  Some schools are switching our tutors from Year 11 or Year 6 pupils to Year 10 and Year 5, and we are happy to be flexible about this.

Equally, we still have good capacity to book in fresh tutoring assignments for February onwards under the National Tutoring Programme.  To help ensure that pupils get the full 15 hours of tutoring in a subject, we can offer sessions on Saturdays, during February Half Term and during the Easter Holidays.

If any of our partner schools – or schools who are new to the National Tutoring Programme –  have any questions or would like to share anything with us, please get in touch with your usual Tutor Trust contact.  Or you can email our team: [email protected]
