Tutor Trust are truly excited to welcome Sarah Horne to our team as the charity’s new Finance Director.

The role of Finance Director is brand new to Tutor Trust. Sarah has started this new job after spending most of her career with the Co-operative Group, working in senior finance, tax and governance positions for over 20 years at their Manchester HQ. She did her initial training with PwC and she is both a chartered accountant and a chartered tax adviser.  In her spare time, she currently serves as a trustee for three different charities.

Sarah will oversee Tutor Trust’s financial operations, planning and reporting, further professionalising and streamlining the way we work thanks to her wealth of experience.

Sarah will also sit on our Senior Management Team, advising the team and helping it to make the best possible decisions to shape a successful and sustainable future for the charity.  She will also work closely with our Trustees and our key funders and partners, especially Impetus and the Education Endowment Foundation.

Sarah joins Tutor Trust at a crucial time, with our charity poised for significant growth in its beneficiaries, programmes and staff during 2020/21 because we are now an approved Tuition Partner of the National Tutoring Programme (NTP).

Sarah will be an essential part of our team and our future plans as we continue to expand and to serve even more disadvantaged pupils across the North of England. We are delighted to have Sarah on board and we have already witnessed the positive difference she is making to our work, as we transform more lives through tutoring than ever before.
