We know the high-quality tutoring we provide makes a real difference to our tutees.

And we love it when we hear it from our school partners too! In our latest video case studies, Headteachers Helen Pinnington, of St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School and Ruth Baldwin, of Waterloo Primary School, along with their respective pupils, share their experiences of working with Tutor Trust and the benefits of tutoring.

It's great to hear about the difference tutoring has made in the classroom and online. We already have gold standard evidence of the difference our tutoring can make to pupils. The findings of an Education Endowment Foundation randomised control trial (RCT) published in November 2018 showed that, at SATs level, after a minimum of 12 hours’ tuition in Maths, pupils made three months’ additional progress. The impact was greater for young people on free school meals.

If you lead a school in Merseyside (or in Greater Manchester or the Leeds City region) and would like to know more about the work we do, and how the National Tutoring Programme can subsidise the costs – meaning you pay as little as £4 per pupil per hour – then please get in touch.
