After a brief pause in tutor recruitment over summer, after our most successful recruitment year ever, we are delighted to announce that we’re once more accepting applications from prospective tutors!

Last academic year, we accepted 660 would-be tutors at interview, more than in any other year. We are hoping to build on that this year so that we can transform even more lives through tutoring. As the government-funded National Tutoring Programme continues in an even greater capacity this coming academic year, we’re expecting more demand than ever before from our existing partner schools and new ones.

Which is why we’re now accepting applications from highly motivated individuals to tutor in various core subjects in Primary and Secondary Schools across Greater Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, and Merseyside.

Over the last few weeks we have updated and reinvigorated our recruitment and training processes to ensure that we recruit individuals who share our values and whom we can then train and support to enable them to deliver high quality tuition.

We operate a rolling recruitment process, which essentially works on a first-come-first-served basis. We want to recruit the very best tutors to support our tutees, so we have a limited number of slots for interviews and even fewer places on our programme of training. Due to the high numbers of applications, we offer places as soon as we have the right candidates.

One such candidate, Madeleine, who now tutors with us, says:

Being a tutor has widened my perception of the disadvantages many children face in education and made me even more passionate to play my part in fighting against this. It is the most rewarding job to know how much of a difference you can make to your pupils.

So if you are an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is committed to our mission of transforming lives through tutoring, live in one of the Greater Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, or Liverpool city regions, and are interested in working with us in Maths, English, or Science at secondary level or in both Maths and English at primary level, we cannot wait to receive your application.
