Tutor Trust Summer School at Buile Hill - Day One! - 13th August 2018 Our transition summer school quite literally started with a bang today as pupils starting Year 7 at Buile Hill Visual Arts College, in September, started our summer school. The day began with an hour of tuition, delivered by tutors who had taught them at their primary schools in Year 6, before moving on to a carousel of activities including balloon chair team building, drama and a craft workshop making felt emojis. The summer school, which will take place over the next two weeks, is part of a project to support the smooth and successful transition from primary to secondary school. Our aim is to give new Year 7 students the opportunity to make friends and plug any gaps in their knowledge before starting the new school year. Later on in the week, the students will be doing circus skills, cookery, rock climbing and more! Manage Cookie Preferences
