We’re expanding our team! – 20 December 2022 As the Autumn Term draws to a close, we’re planning our next stage of growth and have just opened recruitment for several key staff roles. With our ambitious Three-Year Plan now well underway, we want to expand our team so that we can double the number of pupils we support – to 13,000 – by the end of 2024/2025. So, as school leaders, pupils and our tutors prepare to take a well-earned break over the Christmas holidays, we’re advertising for more amazing individuals to join our team in early 2023! Find out a little more about how we work: We’re looking to recruit: A SENDCo / Inclusion Manager with our specialist Tutoring Plus service The role involves working with our Tutoring Plus team to ensure that the academic and additional support needs of the most vulnerable children and young people that we work with can be met. The post holder will provide expertise to identify the additional support that may be required for a particular young person to be able to fully access academic opportunities, in addition to developing supplementary programmes to meet individual need. An additional aspect of the role is to develop and enhance our tutor expertise and support them to plan and deliver high-quality tuition. Furthermore, the role will involve assisting in recruiting the highest quality tutors during recruitment plus delivering CPD to tutors. HR Manager As an organisation that has scaled rapidly in recent years and is ambitious for its future development, we’re looking for a HR Manager who is people-focused with a solid understanding of employment law and a self-starter who loves the responsibility of building out this area of the charity. It is an exciting time to join Tutor Trust as we have recently finalised an ambitious 3-Year Strategic Plan to double the number of children that we serve. You will oversee the provision of a warm and approachable HR support service to all the Tutor Trust team as we continue to grow. HR Administration Assistant This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and professional individual to join our Manchester office to support our work with disadvantaged children. You will need excellent communications skills, strong IT capabilities, be highly organised and have the ability to prioritise with a varied workload in a fast-paced environment. Leeds-Bradford Schools Coordinator The Leeds-Bradford Schools Coordinator post is an exciting role with Tutor Trust. You will be line managed by the Leeds-Bradford Schools Manager and will work closely with them and the Leeds-Bradford Schools Partnership Manager, by liaising with local schools and organising tuition within the Leeds-Bradford area. This will include attending meetings (in person and on Zoom), coordinating tuition sessions and arranging tutor cover. You will support the tutor recruitment and training process in Leeds-Bradford and help to ensure that it runs smoothly. You will also maintain and improve systems for the benefit of all our tutors, including ongoing tutor support. Alternative Provision Tutor This is a ‘full-time’ tutor role. You will carry out tuition on a one-to-one basis with children in alternative provision educational settings, children who are looked after or particularly vulnerable. The majority of sessions will take place in schools or educational centres that we have partnered with (i.e. Pupil Referral Units), some tuition takes place in the home. Some of the pupils are part of our Right Angle project where they also receive support for their emotional well-being through trained counsellors from our partner charity TLC: Talk, Listen, Change others may also be on the Prince’s Trust ‘Achieve’ programme where they receive support for life skills from our trained tutors. More details, full role profile and application form is here. Tutor (Full-time position) We are adding to our team of full-time tutors at Tutor Trust due to the incredibly high demand for our work. There are various roles available. The postholder will plan and deliver tuition to pupils (from year 5 to 11) in one of our key city regions – either Greater Manchester, Leeds, Bradford or Liverpool in Maths, Science or English on a 1:1 or 1:3 basis. A robust and comprehensive induction and training programme will be offered to support this.
