Mark Harrison

School and College Trust Leader for Dixons Academies Trust

We are grateful to have a sustained and deep partnership with Dixons Academies Trust, providing support within of their schools. Mark offered a passionate talk, highlighting the vitality of integrated support to guide children’s aspirations. As all children have aspirations, the Tutor Trust provides inspiration and motivation for them to achieve what they are capable of.

When I look at the work Tutor Trust have done in our schools, it is such a powerful message, and it helps us get those children back on track"

A proud moment for our post-16 pupil, Ellis

With tailored 1 to 1 tutoring Ellis passed his Maths GCSE re-sit, first time! His resilience and hard work are admirable and we are so proud to have supported him in his development and meeting his goals. His academic engagement has since led to Ellis securing an apprenticeship interview! Seeing our students believe in their potential, with focused support and reaching tangible goals, is exactly why Tutor Trust is here today.

We hope to guide thousands more pupils through their academic journeys and challenges, for the very reason we stand, to help create opportunities and transform the lives of pupils

Our Panel of Tutors

It was wonderful having a panel of our tutors with us at the event alongside our Strategic University Partnerships Manager, Dr Will Simms.

Our tutors offered an authentic perspective behind their desire to help the younger generation. Notably Azra Chaudry has completed 540 hours of tutoring and is going onto complete her teacher training in September, along with Felix Hall and Tom Harding. Whereas Rachel Small is seeking alternative career paths, Tutor Trust offers an opportunity to enhance confidence, soft skills and perspective both in and outside the classroom.

Nothing is possible without the passion and commitment of our tutor community, which we are ever grateful for.

Professor Duncan Ivison

President & Vice-Chancellor of the University of Manchester

Our connection with University of Manchester is something we highly value, with a shared passion for education for everyone and creating real community, Duncan noted how extraordinary our alignment is. He offered meaningful insights regarding tuition’s accessibility providing opportunity for students from all backgrounds and environments. This is crucial as the attainment gap remains a prevalent issue.

One part of our future is how we democratise education…Tutor Trust opens this up to anyone”
Duncan Ivison
Whilst it is a difficult time for schools and it’s a difficult time for the charity sector, it is incredible that we are on course to support more young people this year than last"
