Primary schools

It was really nice to see the children build up a relationship with their tutor- you could see their confidence growing each week. Emma Johns, Assistant Head, Grosvenor Road Primary School

Our tutors work with pupils in Years 5 and 6 in primary schools.  We support young people across the ability range, with pupils who need pushing to reach age related expectations as well as pupils aiming for greater depth who need to be stretched and challenged.

Primary tutors are trained to deliver tuition in Reading and Maths.  Schools can request tuition in either subject, or both.

Tutoring can take place on a 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 basis.

We are able to provide primary school tuition in all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester, Leeds and across Merseyside.

Our mission is to provide a high quality tutoring service for disadvantaged students, so we ask that a significant proportion of tutees are pupil premium, LAC or in alternative provision.

Our research has shown that students need a minimum of 12 hours of tutoring for it to have a meaningful impact. For this reason, we ask schools to book in a minimum of 15 hours of tuition per pupil to account for any potential pupil absences.

Our tutors are academic high flyers and inspirational role models and receive a high level of training from us.  To find out more about how we monitor tutor quality, and the expectations we have of our tutors, please visit here.

For more information on how tuition works and how to request tuition for your school, please read our Primary Partnership guide.
