Creating impactful tuition programmes

We continually seek to learn 'what works' with tutoring and, with over ten years experience, we've amassed a range of knowledge. We collect and analyse a wide range of data and views in order to help us understand the impact of our tutoring programmes, and inform continuing programme design.

Tutoring for secondary schools

Tutor Trust offers English, Maths and Science tutoring to pupils of all attainment levels between Year 7 and Year 11. We work in partnership with schools across Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Merseyside. A registered charity who specialise in working with schools serving low-income communities, we have proven evidence of impact through two Randomised Control Trials.

Our impact

Tutor Trust are deeply committed to evidence-based practice and to ensuring every hour a tutor spends with a young person has a positive impact on attainment, confidence and enjoyment of learning. We are unique in the UK in having positive results from two randomised control trials.

Our tutors

Our tutors are recruited based on academic credentials and the ability to build supportive relationships with children. They have all received comprehensive training in pedagogy, lesson planning, building relationships and the primary curriculum. All have an enhanced DBS and receive annual safeguarding training.
