Our impact

Tutor Trust are deeply committed to evidence-based practice and to ensuring every hour a tutor spends with a young person has a positive impact on attainment, confidence and enjoyment of learning. We are unique in the UK in having positive results from two randomised control trials.

Creating impactful tuition programmes

At Tutor Trust we continually seek to learn 'what works' with tutoring and, with over ten years of experience, we've amassed a range of knowledge. We collect and analyse a wide range of data and views in order to help us understand the impact of our tutoring programmes, and inform continuing programme design.

Tutoring Plus

Our Tutoring Plus offer consists of a range of 1:1 programmes that combine academic support with a focus on the whole child. Tutoring Plus programmes are open to all and most commonly used to support cared for children, those attending alternative provision and those persistently absent from school.

Therapy and Tutoring

For years Tutor Trust has collaborated with award-winning organisations like the Prince's Trust (now the King's Trust) and TLC (Talk, Listen, Change). We provide a variety of options for 1:1 tutoring and counselling to young people in the north of England in a variety of settings from Looked after Children (LAC) or attending Alternative Provision.
