Happy Holidays from Tutor Trust - 18th December 2019 Tutor Trust want to wish all our partners, schools, funders, pupils and tutors a Merry Christmas! It has been a fantastic year for Tutor Trust and our talented Tutor Coordinator, Will Baldwin Pask, has designed a Christmas card to highlight the impact of our work this year across Greater Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. We wanted to use this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has supported us. Co-Founders Abigail Shapiro and Nick Bent said: “As we prepare to take a well-deserved break over the Christmas holidays, we’ve been reflecting on our hard work and achievements, not just over the past few months but the whole year, and want to take the chance to thank partners, tutors, schools and the office team that have made 2019 such a great year. "Next year, we hope to grow our work by implementing our three-year plan, continuing to thrive as a charity and transforming more lives through tuition.” It has been a busy few weeks in the Tutor Trust office as we started to plan for the holiday season. As well as restyling our office with a Christmas tree and festive decorations, the team took part in National Xmas Jumper day, organised annually by Save the Children UK, who provide funding to support children and young people around the world in life-threatening conditions. We were further delighted to have our prize from the Children and Young People Now Awards arrive in the post. Earlier this month, Tutor Trust were the successful recipients of the ‘Learning Award’, a great achievement reflecting the work we’ve done the past year. This was the second award success of the year for Tutor Trust, having also won at the North West Charity of the Year Awards in November. It’s been fantastic to have our work recognised by such accolades; receiving our ‘Learning Award’ was the perfect present to wrap up the year! Each year, Tutor Trust organises celebratory festive events for our tutors in Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester to say thank you for their hard work. Our tutors worked over 20,000 hours helping disadvantaged children and young people with their subjects in primary and secondary schools last academic year. We will be recruiting even more tutors in the new year as we prepare for another busy term of tuition, so follow us on social media and watch our application portal to find out which opportunities are available. Special Christmas gifts were also provided for our Advanced Tutors, who are those tutors that have gone above and beyond in their roles. Advanced Tutors were invited to collect a special mug filled with chocolate as a thank you for the work they’ve done this year. There are currently 60 tutors working for Tutor Trust who are Advanced and we look forward to having even more tutors join this elite group in the new year. If you are a tutor and want to find out more about the Advanced Tutor Pathway, you can email [email protected] for more information. From all of us at Tutor Trust, we would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and hope you all have a great break – we look forward to working with you all in the New Year so we can continue to transform lives through tuition.
